Living on One Dollar

Last Saturday, I watched for the first time "Living on One Dollar" (where I was eating a carton of delicious chocolate ice cream on the couch).  The movie is about three college students that visit Guatemala, to get a perspective on what it's like to live there.  Everyday, one of the three students take a slip out of the folder to see how much money they'll make that day, at random.  You can make from $1.00 to $10.00 a day, which is similar to what the people in Guatemala make in one day.  You see along the way the different people who live there, and how different their lifestyle is from our own.  Most people don't know how thankful they are to be able to accomplish their dreams, and afford important necessities for you and your family, and in poor countries like Guatemala, people lose the opportunity to even do that.  This film inspired me to want to visit a place like this, because it opens your mind to how big the world is, and what other people go through.  It makes me want to make a difference.

I would give this film five stars!
